- When an ac is nearing the end of its service life, it will require repairs and maintenance more frequently, making it seem that the repairs aren’t worth the expense.
- A good rule of thumb is opting for installing a new model is if the repairs will cost more than 50% of the cost of installing a new one. When it gets to the point that a major repair is needed, chances are good other things will require repairs soon as well.
